I will warn you right away; I am bad with these “about this and that” things.

The name’s Saku (or, well, “nmrfxxr”, but good luck trying to say that out loud). I have been wasting oxygen since the 27th of September, 1989, and currently live in Helsinki, Finland. Gender, to me, is a fairly useless thing, but if I had to put something down as mine it’d be “male”. I graduated in the spring of 2008 as a dressmaker/fashion stylist, but since that didn’t really lead to anything, I am now an arts & graphic design student.

I am very short (5′4”) and very skinny (don’t know how much I weigh, actually, but it’s not much). I live very unhealthily, I sleep too little, don’t eat much, smoke too much and drink too much, but I am too lazy to do anything about it.

I like my fair share of music and movies, but I feel like it would be pointless to list my favourites here, since basing your opinion of a person on their taste of music is just stupid. If the curiosity is killing you, check out my last.fm. As a fair warning, it’s full of eurodance crap. I used to be a huge j-rock fan back in the day, but that kind of passed and the only thing I got is this lousy haircut that I can’t seem to be able to part with.

That said, I’ve been into Japanese street fashion for years now. I used to be a kindergoth when I was 12-13, but then along came j-rock and obviously Mana and lolita, and with that came boystyle and aristocrat. Well, I kind of forgot about that for years and went more into the visual kei and j-punk direction, but about a year ago I realised I’m really missing my goth roots and got back to the frilly shit, aka ouji/kodona/whatever the hell you want to call it, again. Now I am happily juggling between my “usual shit” and my “frilly shit” depending on my mood and how much time I have to dress myself in the morning. I absolutely love the gothic aesthetic (talking about the frilly kind of gothic here, not the weird stuff some kids call “gothic” nowadays) but since I am simply too lazy to actually wear the frills most of the time, I also try to incorporate it into the way my room looks and just into the stuff around me in general.

I don’t really have any real “hobbies”, but I enjoy taking photos and I am a huge video game geek. I also own two ball-jointed dolls but I don’t really do much with them aside from, well, taking the occasional pictures. Of course I sew quite a bit as well, I just tend to never finish what I start if it’s for myself nowadays, which is kind of sad.

I already said I am bad with these things, so I am not gonna try and force myself to write more about myself. Read that blog instead, will you.

BLOG

This blog was started on the 28th of July, 2009. I had been thinking of putting up a blog for a while since posting outfit posts on my Livejournal just started to feel dumb, and I felt like everyone who added me there just wanted to add me because they wanted to see said posts. So, I figured that I have my domain sitting there completely empty and decided to actually put it into use. (I have a terrible habit of getting domains and then letting them just sit ducks until they expire…)

Originally I didn’t exactly know what I would be posting here, or even if I would have the patience to keep up with this for longer than a week. Now it would appear that I do indeed have the patience to keep up with this, and I also think I know what I am posting here and what I am posting on my LJ instead. Basically, everything pointless and personal goes on my LJ, and everything else goes here. This isn’t a “style blog” like I thought it would be, but instead it’s some kind of a “stuff I wear, stuff I take pics of and everything in between” blog nowadays, and that suits me just fine.
