Yesterday’s outfit
March 14, 2010 | Filed in: outfits, photos

I went to see a movie last night, I bet you’ll never guess which one. This is what I wore:

13032

13031

Coat – F+F// Shirt – AatP // Vest – thrifted // Pants – f+F // Boots – Demonia // Bow – BPN // Hat – F+F // Pocketwatch – gift

Is it just me, or does everyone else experience this weird hat phenomenon as well? I mean I could wear the rest of this outfit and feel absolutely comfortable with it any day, but as soon as I put a hat on, be it a top hat of any size, or just any other kind of a hat, I start feeling like everyone is staring at me – which is kind of ridiculous, since they are gonna be staring at me anyway, hat or no hat. There’s just something about those pesky little hats, I dunno.

In any case, I’d rate the movie adaptation of Alice an 8 out of 10. It was visually stunning as expected (it was also the first 3D movie I ever saw, it was weird at first but as soon as I got used to it, it was so much more awesome than regular movies) but as a Burton, Burton x Depp and Alice fan I really expected something more. Oh well, I guess it could have been worse…

Last summer I bought a hat and wore it constantly. And people just stared at me all the time, as if I was wearing something inappropriate. One time I even saw this person hanging out of the window of his car. :/

I’m scared watching Alice in 3D because people often complain about getting a headache.
Anyhow, watching it next Friday. I’m excited and wonder if I will like it.

Also, really like the outfit you’re wearing! :D

I totally agree with you with the hatter matter (haha, sounds so funny!) D: Through the years and experience, I’ve realised that people feel more awkward towards hats, stripped socks (specially if those are black x white) and the old headdresses in the case of Lolita (you know, those rectangular ones). I wonder why! I think it’s more striking the shape of a skirt, or platform shoes rather than a sinple detail, but well…

The worst of all is not the people staring at you, I think it’s how secure you’re :/ I don’t know how is it in your country, but it could be really dangerous to walk alone with a mini hat in your head in mine… more than a poofy skirt. Weird, really weird.

You look amazing! I have a huge crush on you right now xD

Hope do not bother you, but I saw some of your picks in EGL and I really like your style ^w^ and well here I am.

I´m really bad introducing me as you can see, so I just wanted to tell you that, also the clothes that you make are gorgeous.

about the movie as I haven´t read the book (what a shame u_u) I cannot say if it´s alike the book, but in my opinion I think is a good movie ^w^

have a nice day!
greatings from mexico!

I can totally verify the hat phenomena you speak of.

My family members especially are so guilty of hate, hate, hating on my clothes.

However, if I show up in the same outfit, sans hat, I’m so cute!
