Tsukicon
October 18, 2009 | Filed in: Uncategorized

I already typed this on my LJ, but not everyone reads it, so I’ll just paste this here as well. Actually, scratch that, the real reason is taht I am just too lazy to actually write anything else about the con.

Anyway, oh wow, Tsukicon was disappointing to say at least. It’s been advertised as a con for jfashion and jrock – I don’t give a shit about the jrock bit and didn’t know any of the bands there, but hey, I am a fashion fag so I thought there’d still be something of interest there. Not so much. I didn’t go yesterday because I was busy all day, and I naturally didn’t go to the concerts either, but from what I saw today I was only glad I didn’t seriously expect anything of it. If I had actually paid the 7€ and lined up in the cold to get my ticket I would be pissed. (I was table sitting for half of the day so I got in free, thank god for that.)

Anyway it really seemed like there was no programme at all aside from the jrock q&a’s and autograph sessions, or if there was, it was aimed towards 13-year-olds. I guess it makes sense considering about 70% or more of the visitors were blatantly underage, but it would still be nice to have at least something for us old farts as well, hahah. Not to mention the venue wasn’t really very suitable for an event like this (you couldn’t make out anything of the speech because of the acoustics unless you were right next to the stage, for one).

Tl;dr – not worth the money unless you happen to be a 13-year-old jrock fanatic, which I am not.

Oh, and two 13-year-old congoers were run over by a car while they were crossing the road on Saturday. Most people seemed to be horrified about it, but I’ve heard (and read, now that I got home) too many “lol they deserved it, j-tard kids deserve to get run over” jokes today, it’s sick. Grow up people, no one deserves to get run over. I feel really bad even though I don’t even know who the fuck the girls are, they were probably really looking forward to the con weekend like all good j-tard kids, and now they’re in hospital with possible brain damage. And then other j-tards joke about how they “deserved it”. Sometimes I hate people.

Anyway, here are the pics of Enfant Terrible’s lolita fashion show. Sadly I didn’t get good pictures of all the outfits because either the models were too fast or I was too slow, but here’s my haul. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of the first outfit since I was still dicking around with my camera settings at the time (and thus they ended up kind of… off for the rest of the show, hahah). (Ilmoita, jos haluat kuvasi pois täältä!)

Wow, loving the outfits!

That fashion show looks awesome, especially that cage skirt outfit!

That’s really fucked up about what people are saying about those 2 kids. No one deserves anything like that ever D:

Thanks for the shots! Shame it was a disappointment – had heard a lot of buzz about it, but not enough to be arsed fixing up to go myself.
Did you have any favourites amongst the outfits you captured on camera?
